Reducing risk associated with low employee mental health and wellbeing

Leading businesses are now looking at employee health through the lens of risk because the cost of ignoring or insufficiently addressing these risks is costing businesses significant amounts of money and seriously harming employee engagement and culture.

But in an industry that is relatively new, many people are being tasked with the role of 'employee wellbeing' at their workplaces and are not sure where to start and how to get the right infrastructure in place so that it becomes a beneficial experience for both the employees and the bottom line of the business.

This D.I.Y checklist has been created to allow you take stock of where your businesses wellbeing efforts are at and to identify what you're doing well and where some opportunities may exist. You may like to create a S.W.A.T analysis following the completion of the checklist.

Who is this checklist for?

This workplace wellbeing internal audit has been designed for someone who is responsible for wellbeing within their organisation. It may be someone in a HR, Health and Safety or a dedicated Wellbeing role.

What sort of business would benefit from the healthy workplace audit checklist?

We have created this checklist to be accessible and valuable to businesses across many different industries and countries. Please disregard a question if you know it is not relevant for your businesses and do not include that in your overall score.

The self audit may not be as relevant for small businesses, we would say that most of these items will apply to your business if you have greater than 100 employees.

Does the healthy workplace self audit follow a format?

Our solutions to workplace wellbeing follow four core steps,

Discovery - (what you'll be doing with the self audit tool)
Foundations - Establishing the strategy and educating your leaders

Building - Educating, training and empowering your employee base

Sustaining - The day to day of good employee health and wellbeing.
The checklist below is designed in line with these core stages
